Ms. Shepherd received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon where she was also a member of the women’s basketball team.  She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Shepherd was a member of the mock trial team and externed at the Yolo County Self Help Center where she focused mainly on family law matters. She also interned for a private family law firm in Davis, California.

Ms. Shepherd lives in San Rafael with her husband Sean.
